Labour and Public Service Specialized Committee member in the National Legislative Assembly on Thursday commended a training of stakeholders on labour laws in Yei to enhance effective application.

Henry Danga Steven said once public service laws are put properly, they could easily be disseminated to people on the ground for effective work, Easter Radio reported.

He stressed on the need to get views of citizens through interviews and seminars to get facts towards better implementation of the laws.

Yei River County Labour and Public Service Establishment officer Paul Ohisa Thomas said the training supported by some organizations was to give participants a generic and practical view of South Sudan labour laws.

He added that they are struggling to ensure that citizens and organizations are enlightened to apply professional methods of labor laws.

The officer explained that the training targeted over 600 people in the county and the municipality including teachers, different government officials, women, youth groups and churches.
