Tonj South Commissioner in Warrap State said on Sunday a group of cattle raiders allegedly attacked Pamir cattle camp in Tonj North killing ten people leaving six others wounded.
William Wol Mayom said the situation in Tonj North returned to normal after the three Commissioners intervened by sending police force to the area, Don Bosco Radio reported.
The Commissioner explained that he advised Thiet community and chiefs not to revenge because the criminals were arrested to face the law.
Mr Wol urged Greater Tonj communities to stay in peace as brothers and sisters in the town and rural areas.
The Commissioner advised Tonj citizens to work for peace and unity to develop the new nation.
