Torit Councillors summon Commissioner

Legislators of Torit County in Eastern Equatoria state on Thursday summoned Commissioner German Charles Ojok over issues of security in area.
 
The Commissioner told the press that the Councillors summoned him to explain on the killing of nine women and three children in Loudo Payam, late last month.
 
Ojok express concern that none of the family members of the victims came to open a case against the unidentified criminals.
 
He condemned the killing of innocent women and children, advising the people of Omorwo not to revenge and appealed to the people of Baari to return to their village.
 
Commissioner Ojok told the councillors that peace should come from the hearts of people.
 
He calls for unity among leaders from Hiyala Payam which he described as ‘most lucky’ in Torit County.
 
Torit county council Chairperson, Ephraim Oromo regretted the unfortunate Loudo incidence that forced residents into disarray.
