Bishop Gasi’s burial service peaceful

Yei Catholic Bishop on Wednesday upon arrival from Tombura-Yambio said the burial of the late Emeritus bishop Joseph Gasi Abangite went very well and peaceful.
 
Bishop Erkulano Lodu Tombe said the spirit of the people was broken making it difficult to distinguish joy and sorrow at the same time, Easter Radio reported.
 
Bishop Lodu recalled that their presence encouraged Tombura-Yambio Bishop Barani Edwardo Hiiboro and the whole Diocese.
 
He added that the national government was represented by Presidential Advisor on Religious Affairs Fr Mark Lote’de Lochapi and that the government of Central Equatoria also attended the ceremony.
 
Bishop Lodu believes that through the intersection of the late Emeritus Bishop Gasi, the Catholic Bishop Conference would either separate or remain one, praying for his soul to rest in peace.
