Ambassadors and Charg√© d’Affaires of Troika including the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Norway, the European Union, Germany and Netherlands expressed concern over prevention of some South Sudan political parties’ delegation from travelling to join the peace talks in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The Ambassadors in their joint statement on Tuesday explained that it does not sit well with an inclusive and representative process that takes into account the views of all constituencies and stakeholders.

They added that preventing an individual from travelling violates his or her right to freedom of movement.

The statement said it remained deeply concerned about the political and humanitarian crisis in South Sudan.

The Troika Ambassadors called on the warring leaders to recognize the need for compromise to put their people and peace as a first priority.
