Western Bahr El Ghazal SPLM Liberation Council on Monday expressed worries of loosing many seats in the upcoming elections, calling for urgent reforms.
The call came during the two-day Council’s meeting under the theme: ‘Together we remain strong’ aimed to address problems facing the party, Voice of Hope reported.
SPLM State Chairperson Mark Nyipoch Ubang said the dismissal of 300 teachers and Wau 2012 December’s crisis tarnished the image of the party.
He stressed the need for a quick resolution of the problems for the party to win the coming elections.
Chairman Nyipoch said the Council called for funds to facilitate members’ registration.
He said the Council appealed to the national government to implement Mapel conference which calls for the creation of more counties in the state.
The Council applauded the state government for its developmental projects and endorsed IGAD proposal on the formation of the government of national unity, calling on the opposition to accept the proposal.
