Magwi youth leader appeals for road safety measures to curb accidents

Magwi County Youth Chairperson appeals for safety measures to limit vehicle accidents on roads.
 
James Oyet observed that there are rampant accidents along road construction from Magwi to Lobone and Magwi Opari roads, citing eight victims including County Youth Union Speaker, Emmanuel Radio reported.
 
He appeals to traffic police to sensitise public on dangers of over speeding and reckless riding.
 
He also called on the state Physical Infrastructure ministry to make roads and bridges’ signs and construct bumps to reduce accidents.
 
The youth leader reminded government of Captain Cook road, warning that it is in sorrow state.
 
Mr Oyet explained that residents of Agoro area suffer travelling a long route via Magwi and Ameruu Junction due to poor road condition connecting to Juba.
 
He added that good roads in Magwi County now enable communities reach markets with agricultural produce.
 
Mr Oyet disclosed that Magwi County produces many crops but poor roads hinder access to markets in the country.
 
 
He decried common motor accidents along Juba-Nimule road, citing involvement of Bakulu Bus and with a Toyota Land cruiser collision at Pageri recently.
