Lakes State Governor on Friday urged girls to study well and become future leaders to change the young nation.

Matur Chut Dhuol during the state government assessment on Friday said there is hope in educated women to change the state and the country at large, Good News Radio reported.

Governor Chut said Lakes State is the heart of South Sudan and youths need to preach peace in the society and stop fighting their brothers.

He said people need to show unity in the state because many leaders in South Sudan studied in Rumbek National Secondary School.

County Education Director William Koji Kerjok said many schools in Rumbek Central County lack teachers because of low payment and house allowances.

The state government assessment was carried out in three schools of Rumbek Girls, Ager-Gum and Deng-Nhial Primary Schools.
