Morobo County in Central Equatoria State on Wednesday launched a seed multiplication project to contribute to vulnerable households’ protection and quality seeds for the country.

County Agricultural Advisor Director Clement Metaloro said Morobo was chosen as a pilot project and expected to produce quality seeds to be distributed to the war affected areas, Easter Radio reported.

County Acting Agriculture Assistant Commissioner Elioba Surur Taban commended the organization and other partners for their continuous supply of seeds and training farmers.

He called on the organizations to maintain their support to farmers to improve productivity as they lack enough market, seed testing machines and inadequate sustainability.

The leaders talked to Easter Radio over telephone interview on Wednesday after the launch of the seed multiplication project in Morobo County.
