Yei River County Legislative Council endorsed 2014/2015 fiscal budget to the tune of fifteen point five million South Sudanese Pounds.
The County Legislative Speaker Cosmas Lasuba said agriculture, education, health and other service provision departments take the largest portion of the budget, Easter Radio reported.
The County Planning and Budgeting Director Matata Charles said 94.6 depend on state government’ transfers, while local revenue collections stand at 5.4 percent.
A Civil Society activist Dara Felix urged the legislators to monitor the implementation of the budget to identify loopholes.
The 2014/2015 fiscal budget discussions brought together members of the Executive Council, Councillors and Payam Directors.
