Eastern Equatoria Governor accused some individuals in the security of providing arms to their communities to terrorise other civilians.

Louis Lobong Lojore said there are leakages in government arms stores, saying they used to arrest individuals carrying bullets along checkpoints, Emmanuel Radio reported.

The Governor attributed other sources of armaments in the civil community to the two decades of wars in the Sudan.

He made the comments following the killing of 12 people: women and children from Omorwo village in Loudo Boma, Bur payam of Torit County, last Thursday.

Torit County also witnessed community killing among Murahatiha-Tirangore before the two villages agreed to end violence and live in peace.
