Yei Catholic Bishop on Saturday launched Saint Augustine Family Organization or SAFO during the celebration of St Augustine ex-seminarians under the theme: ‘United to continue to serve God through humanity’.
Bishop Erkulano Lodu Tombe said the family includes former seminarians as immediate members and the entire Christian community in the Diocese, Easter radio reported.
Bishop Lodu described SAFO as a clear body with outlook towards the delivery of spiritual, health, educational and economical services to improve the society and the Diocese.
SAFO Chairperson Don Bosco Malish said the organization aims to support holistic development in Yei Diocese.
He said membership is open to all as stipulated in the constitution, pledging that SAFO would play a supplementary role not a competitive one.
The leaders spoke during the second programme at Easter Radio after the Eucharistic celebration at Christ the King Cathedral on Saturday.
