The government of the People’s Republic of China on Thursday donated 35 thousand, one hundred forty bags of Chinese rise to its South Sudan counterpart for humanitarian assistance in the country.
Chinese Ambassador to South Sudan Ma Qiang, while delivering the aid to the National Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, said their government shares the suffering of the IDPs, Bakhita Radio reported.
He pledged that their country would send more rice and grains to help improve living conditions of the displaced people in war affected states.
The Ambassador decried the deteriorating humanitarian situation, urging the warring parties to honour and respect their recently singed agreement for IDPs to return home.
Mr Qiang reminded that their government earlier donated 200 thousand US Dollars, 160 thousand doses of Anti Malaria drugs, five thousand tents, 300 mosquito nets and 300 sets of solar panels.
National Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs Undersecretary Clement Taban Dominic appreciated the Chinese government support to restore the hope in the IDPs camps.
