The Salesians of Don Bosco in South Sudan are planning to build a shrine of Mary Help of Christians in Tonj Parish of Rumbek Catholic Diocese.

Provincial of the Salesians of Don Bosco Mission told Good News Radio in Tonj on Wednesday that they are planning to build a beautiful shrine that would be used as a pilgrim centre for the whole South Sudan.

He said their Mission is working hard to make Tonj as a pilgrim centre where many people from different places would pay homage to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Rumbek Catholic Diocesan Administration Fr John Mathiang Machol appreciated all work of Salesians of Don Bosco Mission to the Diocese and to communities of Tonj South County.

He urged mothers to pray hard for their children to love Jesus and spend their life for the good work.

The two priests spoke on Wednesday after laying a foundation stone for the construction of Mary Help of Christians’ shrine in Tonj.
