Tonj South County in Warrap State on Tuesday started training 20 vaccinators in preparation for livestock vaccination and review last year’s training.
Animal Resources and Fisheries Director Joseph Chol said Belgium Organisation funded training of 20 vacinators aimed at avoiding disease outbreak, Don Bosco Radio reported.
Mr Chol outlined a number of cattle diseases facing his department and that they also foresee other diseases.
He added that they are getting livestock drugs from the Belgium organization and the government to treat animals.
The Director urged Greater Tonj community to allow their animals and chickens to be vaccinated.
Belgium Organization team leader Chol Deng said they have a new solar refrigerator to keep vaccines fresh to avoid last year’s challenges.
