Tonj Civil Hospital Public Health officer in Warrap State urged parents and guardians to avail their children for polio vaccination.

William Marial said polio and EPI vaccination are free of charge for all mothers in the hospital, Don Bosco Radio reported.

He said Tonj Civil Hospital has a routine immunization and outreach immunization teams.

Mr Marial said they normally tell parents, guardians and chiefs the day vaccinators visit their locations, but many children were not brought for vaccination.

The officer added that some parents’ refusal to children vaccination was a big challenge.

Mr Marial urged parents to vaccinate children against tuberculosis, measles and whooping cough for their safety.
