Yei River County Youth and Culture Inspector urged officials to be transparent without favouring any school or pupil because sport is a personal talent.

Kujo Bernard while launching primary athletic competition on Monday, urged sports’ teachers to train students and pupils games that would promote them.

He earlier explained that in the national government, football, volleyball, basketball and handball are compulsory games while cricket, netball and hockey are optional.

Mr Bernard said Yei River was selected to represent the state at all levels because it is an active County in Central Equatoria in sports.

He disclosed that Yei was chosen to be a sports city and would soon witness development.

The Inspector said after five years of playing netball, no child was taken abroad.
