Eastern Equatoria Legislative Assembly on Monday adjourned its sitting for the second time after the death of another member Marko Lokorai Dedemoi on Friday a week after the death of MP Irene Peter Longole.

Talking on behalf of the Acting Speaker on Monday, MP Aventore Bilal Kenyi said the postponement was to give legislators a room to mourn their colleague, Emmanuel Radio reported.

He added that the Assembly did not meet its quorum because some members accompanied the body of the late Lokorai for burial.

The death of Marko Lokorai Dedemoi and Irene Peter Longole brought the Assembly vacant seats to three after the death of the speaker one and a half months ago.
