Apostolic Administrator says current war ‘evil’

Malakal Catholic Diocese Apostolic Administrator described the ongoing war between the government and SPLM/A in opposition forces as evil.
 
Monsignor Rocco Taban Musa in his Homily on Sunday at St Joseph’s Parish said those entertaining the current fighting have their names already written in the book of the devil, Bakhita Radio reported.
 
He lamented that the ongoing war is only destructive as it completely destroyed Malakal, Bor and Bentiu within three weeks.
 
Monsignor Taban told St Joseph’s congregation that there is still possibility for peace, reconciliation and peaceful coexistence.
 
He asked where South Sudanese were going if a town like Malakal which host 250 thousand people could be left without a single person.
 
Monsignor Taban urged citizens to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and Saint Augustine by telling the truth.
 
He explained that ‘in some areas, in some societies, in some countries you will die because of truth, if you tell lies you will be appreciated, you will be thanked, you will be paid properly and you will be uplifted’.
 
The Apostolic Administrator told Christians that Lent is a season of learning new things and telling the truth to enable believers see the light of hope.
