The government and the South Sudan Democratic Movement/Army Cobra faction of David Yau Yau on Saturday signed a draft agreement in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Church Leaders Mediation Initiative head Torit Emeritus Bishop Paride Taban on Sunday told the press at Juba International Airport that the two parties were left with the security arrangements and integration of Cobra faction into SPLA.
He described the agreement as Easter gift for South Sudanese that would usher peace in Pibor particularly, Jonglei State and South Sudan in general.
Bishop Taban congratulated the government and South Sudan Democratic Movement/Army for reaching a deal.
Murle Community leader Ismail Konyi said the signed peace agreement would facilitate development in Pibor County and Jonglei State.
