Don Bosco Secondary students in Tonj South County of Warrap State on Saturday celebrated Cultural Day under the theme: ‘Cultural day at the service of peace in South Sudan.’
Students’ representative Rueben Tinyjok told Don Bosco Radio that the celebration was to review their cultures, remove negative parts and continue with positive ones.
Mr Tinyjok called on Tonj citizens to remind themselves of where they came from, advising parents to teach their children their cultures.
The leaders explained that they played many traditional dances including Dinka, Bongo and Jur.
Another Don Bosco student Julia Akuac said they celebrated the day to teach their young ones their positive cultures.
