Yei Catholic Diocese St Bakhita Medical Doctor urged citizens to encourage the safe medical delivery of pregnant mothers.

Sister Veronica Rackova said delivering at medical centers would save lives of babies whose mothers are HIV AIDS positive, Easter Radio reported.

She explained that St Bakhita Centre helped delivery of negative babies from positive mothers.

The Doctor said if HIV patients continue taking their treatment, they would live a quality and longer life.

The doctor urged South Sudanese to know their HIV AIDS status before marriage.

She lamented that the Health Centre also counsels and tests pregnant mothers for safe delivery.

Sister Rackova said the Centre recorded 201 HIV AIDs positive patients in 2013.
