National Malaria Control Program Manager said the ministry developed seven strategies including malaria case management, malaria in pregnancy, malaria prevention and malaria program management for 2014/2020.
Harriet Akello Pasquale told CRN that the plans would help in implementation, funds mobilization and provides guidance to control malaria in South Sudan.
Dr Akello said the ministry agreed on distribution of mosquito nets as the only simple way of preventing malaria.
She said they elaborated on the strategy of treatment of malaria to ensure that health facilities are well stocked with anti-malarial drugs and citizens receive correct treatment of malaria to improve diagnosis.
She advised citizens with fever to visit health facility before taking any medicine.
