CEPO trains CES civil society organizations

Community Empowerment for Progress Organisation or CEPO organised a one-day workshop for Central Equatoria civil society and community-based organizations under the theme: ‘Civil society organisation engagement and citizens’ participation in democratic political process”.
 
CEPO Human Right and Rule of Law Officer Wodcan Saviour Lazarus said the training was to build the capacity of the civil society and community-based organizations, Bakhita Radio reported.
 
He added that training would bring the organizations together to network and speak with one voice.
 
United Nations Mission in South Sudan Civil Affairs Officer in Central Equatoria Fred Ola said they targeted 40 participants to become effective, sufficient in addressing peace building and conflict negotiations in the ongoing peace talks in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
 
The two officials were speaking during a one-day training on Friday at Women Union in Juba.
