Aid Agencies on Friday called on the government to urgently facilitate the supply of humanitarian aid to conflict victims all over the country.

OCHA Coordination Director John Ging told the press that Internally Displaced Persons or IDPs were facing dire conditions requiring urgent end to the ongoing conflict, Bakhita Radio reported.

He called on the government to facilitate humanitarian aid supply to the needy.

Mr Ging pointed out that there are too many checkpoints preventing urgent aid delivery.

He called on the government and opposition forces to respect humanitarian aid activities in the country.

Mr Ging added that 4.9 million people were in need of urgent assistance across the country.

He said the destruction of NGOs facilities in South Sudan is not acceptable.
