SPLM-N campaigns against tribalism in Nuba Mountains

SPLM-N members in Nuba Mountains of South Kordofan conducted a weekly intellectual forum to enlighten the community to stand against tribalism.
 
Dilling County SPLM-N Chairman Allazim Suleiman said in the last 22 years of liberation struggle, people were living without tribalism, but in the era of CPA Sudanese developed the sense of tribalism, Voice of Peace reported.
 
He added that tribalism became a chronic disease in the communities of Sudan and South Sudan.
 
Mr Suleiman lamented that tribalism was practiced by many army officers including NGOs.
 
Culture and Medi Secretary in Nuba Mountains Chatigo Amoja Delman said people raised the culture of ethnicity after the collapse of the colonialism in Sudan.
 
Nuba Mountains SPLM-N Amani Musa Kodi said tribalism is currently being exercised in South Sudan.
 
She added that tribalism is also practiced in South Kordofan but not much compared to that in South Sudan because the SPLM-N leadership stands against the ideology.
 
She said South Sudan mid December crisis should be a lesson to SPLM-N in the Nuba Mountains and Southern Kordofan.
