NPA distribtes food to thousands IDPs in Yirol

The Norwegian People’s Aid or NPA distributed 72.83 metric tons of food to thousands of Internally Displaced People or IDPs in Yirol East and West Counties in Lakes state.
 
The NPA distributed food at seven locations to 19,984 people displaced in Jonglei at Adior, Nyang center, Malek, Shambe port, Thian Buma, Lang-Matot and Yirol, Good News Radio reported.
 
Norwegian People’s Aid Crisis response team leader Peter Majur said: ‘in solidarity with people of South Sudan NPA will do its best, with support from donors and partners, to respond to the humanitarian needs of the people affected by the conflict’.
 
NPA on February 17, distributed 16.8 metric tons of food to 1,914 people in Nyang center of Adior village and 18.65 tons to another 2125 people on February 19.
 
It distributed 37.38 metric tons of food to 4,255 people in Yirol town on February 12.
