South Sudan and Sudan Council of States on Thursday at the end of three-day’s visit to Juba called for the opening of borders between the two sister countries to facilitate free movement of people and goods.
South Sudan Council of States Speaker Joseph Bol Chan said the visit of the Sudan Council of States speaker Umballi Abudalla El Agab and the accompanying delegation to South Sudan was meant to boost the relationship between the two countries, Bakhita Radio reported.
He said the two upper houses agreed to have regular joint parliamentary sittings twice a year: one in Juba and another in Khartoum.
South Sudan Councils of state speaker said the two Councils resolved to work towards full implementation of the Cooperation Agreements between the two countries.
The two Councils encouraged continuation of high level visits between the two nations.
