Cardinal Turkson brings Pope’s good wishes to South Sudan

The Pontifical President of the Peace and Justice Commission in Vatican arrived in Juba on Tuesday evening bringing prayers, felicities and good wishes of Pope to the country.
 
Received by Archbishop Paolino Lukudu Loro at Juba International Airport and Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Barnaba Marial Benjamin among others, Cardinal Turkson Peter Kwadwo Appiah said he brought greetings and good wishes from Pope Francis.
 
The Cardinal revealed that they were praying for South Sudan and Syria.
 
He told journalists that he works for peace and justice in the Vatican.
 
Dr Marial welcomed the Cardinal on behalf of the President and South Sudanese, telling him to feel at home.
 
The Foreign Minister appreciated the prayers of Pope Francis in the country.
 
Cardinal Peter Kwadwo was received by many Christians at St Joseph Parish with ululations and songs of joy.
 
He will on Wednesday consecrate the new Church of St Joseph.
