National Football Association graduates 40 referees in Rumbek

South Sudan Football Association on Saturday graduated 40 young men and women drawn from Ministries of Youth, Culture and Sports in Lakes, Central and Western Equatoria States after a one-week training in Rumbek, Lakes State.
 
National Football Association General Secretary William Okot told the participants that referees, coaches and administrators play a vital role in the promotion of football, Good News Radio reported.
 
He described the training as a stepping stone for South Sudanese youths to join international refereeing.
 
Lakes Youth, Culture and Sports Minister Miriam Paul Jebi urged the participants to put into practice the skills they acquired during the training.
 
She encouraged the referees to cooperate with one another and national sports authorities in order to develop the nation through sports.
 
The training was organized by Rumbek Youth and Sports Association funded by the Norwegian People’s AID.
