Eastern Equatoria Governor called on the two conflicting communities of Didinga and Toposa to embrace peace and live in unity.
Two friends in Ngauro last month disagreed on money where a Didinga colleague killed a Toposa man triggering attacks leaving 17 dead and eight others wounded and burning houses and shops including properties, Emmanuel Radio reported.
Governor Louis Lobong Lojore visited the area to restoring peace and unity among the two conflicting communities.
He urged the two communities to desist from violence, warning that development does not associate with fighting.
The Governor described the Ngauro incident as madness and confusion, calling on the two sides to form community policing to crack on criminals destabilizing villages.
He promised to redeployed armed forces to Ngauro Payam to restore peace, warning civil population against moving with their guns in the town.
The community blamed the state authority failure to respond to a call to redeploy soldiers to Ngauro, saying the incident would have not happened.
The Governor made the call during a visit to Ngauro payam of Budi County on Tuesday to pay condolence to families that lost their dear ones and property.
