The Nuba Relief and Rehabilitation Development Organization on Tuesday started a four-day workshop in Heiban County to promote peace and social coexistence.
Organization Gender Coordinator Hawa Mundu told Voice of Peace on Tuesday that the workshop aimed to build peace among communities and the neighbouring tribes.
She added that the workshop would ensure peaceful coexistence between Arab tribes, Nuba and pastoralist communities in the region.
Ms Mundu said the workshop would help local communities to fight corruption and promote social justice and harmony.
She said the workshop targeted, religious leaders, youths, women and different representatives in the state.
The Gender Coordinator said the workshop on peace building was the third of its kind in the Nuba Mountains region.
Ms Mundu said the four-day workshop funded by KODI, a local NGO in Nuba Mountains will conclude on Friday.
