Director warns over unhealthy meat

Animal Resources and Veterinary General Director in the Nuba Mountains warned communities against eating meat from unhealthy animals.
 
Anwar Angelo strongly said animals should be checked by the veterinary doctor before slaughtering them for sell in the market to avoid transmitting animal diseases to human beings, Voice of Peace reported.
 
He said unveiled a plan in the future to establish an advisory committee in markets, church and other social centers to give people awareness about animal diseases.
 
Mr Angelo advised that people should not eat meat of the animals killed in aerial bombing because it is poisonous.
 
He revealed a plan to open veterinary training in August to promote animal health and have capable veterinary team in every location of the Nuba Mountains.
 
The general director urged the community to treat their animals whenever veterinary vaccination is available.
