Yei Catholic Diocese launches 40 days for peace

Yei Catholic Diocese on the first Sunday of Lent launched the forty days of prayer for peace, justice and reconciliation Catholic Bishops of South Sudan declared.
 
Diocesan Secretary General Fr Emmanuel Lodongo Sebit who launched the campaign on behalf of Bishop Erkulano Lodu Tombe, said it was the wish of Bishops of South Sudan for Christians to fast for charity peace, justice and reconciliation, Easter Radio reported.
 
Fr Lodongo explained that the President of Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace Cardinal Peter Tukson Kwadwo will join bishops and Christians of South Sudan on March 18.
 
He said some people were working day and night for the downfall of the new nation, but the universal church will not live the people of South Sudan alone.
 
The Secretary General revealed that they will start their diocesan annual meeting on Tuesday.
