South Sudan celebrates Women’s Day in camps

South Sudanese Women Leaders for Peace today celebrate their International Day in a special way by visiting Internally Displaced or IDPs’ camps in and around Juba.
 
The women leaders visit camps to give their fellow women moral and material support.
 
Gender, Child and Social Welfare Ministry Undersecretary Esther Ikere Eluzai said
at end of March they will visit women at Nimule, Awerial and Tuich camps to provide psychosocial help and encourage them to return to their homes.
 
UN Women commemorate the Day today at UN headquarters in New York, USA.
 
African Union Commission on Friday commemorated International Women’s Day in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia under the theme: ‘Stand-Alone Goal on Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment in Post 2015 Agenda’.
