A member of the National Legislative Assembly on Friday praised the national government for rehabilitating Yei-Lau road.
Agnes Kwaje Lasuba said in 2007 they tried to rehabilitate the road using the CDF, but the priority was given to schools and health centers, Easter Radio reported.
She recalled that in 2008, they built four schools one in Lasu Payam another in Tore and two in Yei.
MP Kwaje congratulated the government for rehabilitating the road.
Yei Deputy Mayor Silvano Ali said the company showed good example while repairing Yei-Kaya and Kagwada-Yei roads.
He hopes the company would do the same in rehabilitating Yei-Lasu road.
The officials spoke during the launch of the Yei-Lau 45 kilometre road on Friday.
