President Kenyatta urges Kiir, Riek to compromise for regional peace

Kenyan President on Wednesday urged South Sudanese conflicting leaders to compromise for the sake of peace in the country and the entire region.
 
Uhuru Kenyatta said Salva Kiir Mayardit and Riek Machar Teny should cooperate on IGAD positions for the sake of stability in the region.
 
He added that he had productive discussions with President Kiir and believes his counterpart would follow and implement IGAD position to resolve political crisis in the country.
 
President Kenyatta said he came to Juba to consult and share concerns in solidarity on ongoing conflict in South Sudan.
 
He added that there was need to come up with a speedy resolution to end fighting in the country and resume social economic development for South Sudanese.
 
President Kiir warmly welcomed his counterpart Uhuru Kenyatta.
