South Sudan Council of Churches chairperson urged religious leaders to promote peace in the country.
Bishop Michael Taban urged the Muslim community to be peace ambassadors and work together with Christians in South Sudan, Bakhita Radio reported.
South Sudan Islamic Community representative Jaafar Karim Juma promised to stand together with the Christian community to build peace in South Sudan.
He pledged that Muslims in South Sudan would not be a problem to the country but would work together with Christians to embrace peace.
The two leaders make the remarks during a two-day inter-religious leaders’ consultation forum that aimed arresting the crisis in the country.
