Medicines San Frontiers or MSF reported alarming attacks and violations of medical facilities in South Sudan since mid-December 2013.

In his media advisory on Tuesday, MSF head of Mission Raphael Gorgeu said there were many attacks on health structures, patients and medical staff including the apparent murder of patients.

He added that looting and destruction of medical supplies and equipment undermine the trust necessary to provide aid and are cutting off thousands of people from critical life-saving medical care.

Mr Gogeu said MSF was experiencing devastating effects of attacks against medical facilities in South Sudan.
