Minyori Agency for Transformation and Development or MATD on Friday conducted a Transitional Constitution review process in Tore payam of Yei River County.
Participants said any person that drops out from school without genuine reasons deserves a fine of 300 South Sudanese Pounds and two years imprisonment for reformation, Easter Radio reported.
They cited that if the drop out was caused by parental failure to support their children, the parents serve six months imprisonment and fine not less than 300 Pounds.
Citizens suggested that accidental killings should deserve a charge of 30 thousand Pounds to the family of the deceased before releasing the perpetrator.
They added that robbers should be imprisoned for 15 years and the money robbed refunded.
MATD data officer Lagu David Seme commended residents for their participation on the review, adding that a permanent constitution requires people’s views rather than selected group.
He said the organization would lobby for funds to conduct many constitutional review processes in Yei.
