SPLM Youth League on Friday visited Torit town of Eastern Equatoria to brief citizens on the current political situation in the country.
The League Chairperson Akol Paul Kordit described Torit as the mother of the liberation struggle and freedom of South Sudan, Emmanuel Radio reported.
He told a rally that the League’s visit was to seek blessings from the martyrs and thank Torit citizens because they did not betray South Sudan since 1955.
Mr Kordit lamented that power hungry politicians continue to kill innocent children, women and destroy homes and property.
Eastern Equatoria Governor Louis Lobong Lojore assured the Youth League of good security situation in the state.
