SPLM-N urged government to release Khartoum University student imprisoned with his mother and a young brother for more than three months.

SPLM-N Press Secretary Chatigo Amuja Delman said a student identified as Saeed was imprisoned in Shamsaka village of Eastern Nuba Mountains, Voice of Peace reported.

He lamented that after two months, Saeed was taken to a court in El Obeid accused of having a link with Sudan Revolutionary Front.

The Press Secretary said Saeed was suffering from stomach infections when he was in Khartoum and the Doctor exempted him from certain food.

He called on the Khartoum government to immediately release Saeed to attend treatment.
