at least 871 candidates sat for Kenya Certificate for Primary Education in the Nuba Mountains region and 188 candidates obtained between 200 to 281 marks indicating an improvement compared to 2012 results.
The Acting Education Director General Musa Hussein Kujur said the best candidates attained 281 marks, Voice of Peace reported.
He said the primary eight candidates of 2013 were recognized to be the best in performance since the regional Education office of Nuba Mountains shifted to Kenyan syllabus in 2005.
The Director said detail results were yet to be released by Kenyan Education ministry.
