Upper Kumu Primary School celebrates eight years

Upper Kumu Primary School celebrated eight years of operation since its foundation.
 
Gidel Parish Priest Deogratius Minja who presided over the ceremony said God stands with the people in every work, Voice of Peace reported.
 
He said Jesus was teaching people to put God first because people’s strength comes from him.
 
The Parents Teachers Association or PTA Chairman called on parents and NGOs to help their school as there were few services and materials.
 
He said the school needs two more classrooms to make nine classes.
 
The Chairman earlier welcomed and thanked parents, NGOs and business communities who attended the celebration.
 
Upper Kumu Primary school Headmaster Anggalu Chaluga Kitinyi said the celebration was for the community to witness the work of their children.
 
He said education is a good instrument of a nation building and that a nation without education was like a dead person.
 
Upper Kumu Primary School has seven teachers and 269 pupils.
 
The number of girls in the school is l higher than that of boys.
