Minority leader calls for unity among parliamentarians

The Leader of Minority in the National Legislative Assembly on Monday urged colleagues to embrace unity within the house to realize it at the grassroots level.
 
Onyoti Adigo Nyikwec told the national legislature to embrace unity, peace and justice as representatives of the people to tackle South Sudan crisis in a unique way.
 
He urged the assembly to learn forgiveness and justice as prerequisite lessons for addressing the national crisis.
 
National Legislative Assembly Chief Whip Odongi Tulio Ayahu of the SPLM majority said it was vital for parliamentarians to meet citizens to highlight the root causes of the mid December crisis.
 
He added that the conflict was imposed on the people, but the government should address it to realize peace, which people need.
 
MP Odongi commended government’s efforts in the ongoing Addis Ababa peace talks with SPLM/A in opposition.
 
The legislators were deliberating on 2013/ 2014 Supplementary Budget meant to address crisis infecting the country.
