Rumbek Central County Commissioner on Monday warned robbers terrorizing the town by looting residents in their houses and along high ways at night to immediately end their exercise.
This came after Rumbek town citizens complained of unknown armed men stopping them at the gunpoint between Malual-bab residential area and Malith market.
Abraham Meen Kuc told Good News Radio on Monday that they were aware of bunch of hooligans and would soon get rid of them.
He warned against illegal guns in the town and villages and guns were allowed in cattle camps only.
Mr Meen said the government would confiscate the gun of any body found carrying a gun in the town or the village.
Rumbek town was experiencing armed robberies at night and along Aber-PDU high way.
