US economic analyst urges South Sudan to build economy

A United State Economic analyst urged the government to stop preaching about ethnic differences but build the national economy and improve citizens’ livelihoods.
 
Dan Bromely said South Sudan should address challenges facing its people, Bakhita Radio reported.
 
The analyst said in every country civil strikes happen when young men have nothing to do.
 
He said if most people in the country do not have economic future their lastly resort is to cause havoc to the government.
 
Mr Bromely said the government needs to involve active youth in all activities that can boost the economy.
 
He cautioned the government against its economic dependant on the oil sector.
 
The analyst urged citizens not only to praise themselves that they fought for the country and expect everything from the government, but do any work that can generate income and change their lifestyles.
 
Mr Bromely said government’s role in every country is to deliver services to its citizens.
