Western Bahr El Ghazal Finance Minister blocked State Contribution Committee to cut employee’s January salaries for supporting the army in front line.

Lilian Valentino Rizik told the press conference on Thursday that employee’s salaries would not be cut without parliament approval and prior notification to Finance ministry, Voice of Hope reported.

She said all state government employees will receive their January salaries in full.

The contribution committee earlier announced deducting five South Sudanese Pounds from unclassified staffs, ten Pounds from classified and one thousand from the executive.

State assembly Finance Committee chairperson Peter Andal Martin said the contribution committee started deducting from employees who received on Thursday.

He said all deducted money would be refunded and those who were not paid would get full salaries because the assembly was not notified on deduction.
