Citizens decry leaders’ empty pledges

Yei citizens strongly criticized unfulfilled pledges leaders voiced out in their manifestos during the general elections’ campaign.
 
Mayoress Oba Cecilia Tito told the media on Thursday that residents expressed concerned over the empty promises leaders made at the state and the national levels, Easter Radio reported.
 
She said residents were unhappy of their leaders’ unfulfilled promises which they termed ‘public deception to satisfy self interests’.
 
The Mayoress hailed chiefs, community leaders and the church for counselling communities from the liberation struggle to the current crisis for peace to prevail.
 
Ms Oba urged South Sudanese to discourage tribalism and conflict and live in peace, love and unity.
