Foreign Affairs Minister said British funds for development in education, health and agriculture would be diverted to humanitarian needs worsened by crisis in the country.
Barnaba Marial Benjamin who returned from London on Friday told the press at Juba International Airport that he discussed with the British government the need for humanitarian aid.
He said the British government considered the dire need in South Sudan after mid December crisis.
Dr Marial said he met a large number of South Sudanese in London who demanded realization of peace in the country for them to return home.
He added that citizens in Diaspora sought clarification on alleged ethnic cleansing between Dinka and Nuer.
The Foreign Minister admitted targeted killing of Nuer by some members of the government forces in Juba and targeted killing of Dinka by opposition forces in Bor, Akobo, Malakal and Bentiu.
Dr Marial added that ordinary civilians from the two groups were living together peacefully without confrontation.
The minister said cases of army human rights violations were already under investigation by a Committee of Inquiry headed by the former Chief Justice.
